hey there! I'm jolin wong xinhui and i'm an aspiring game developer!During my free time I like to draw and play games.
Occasionally, I also make simple games on my own time outside of school projects.
Programming, especially for making games, has always been an interest of mine ever since learning Scratch in primary school.I hope that I will be able to pursue a career in the game industry in the future ^^

You wake up inside an unknown underground prison. With no knowledge of who you are or how you ended up here, travel up through the different floors of the prison encountering potential friends and/or foes as you try to find your way out with nothing but your instincts and a mysterious spirit aide to guide you on your journey.


Purgatorio is an RPG turn-based combat game made in Unity.
It is heavily inspired by games such as Undertale, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Persona 5 Royal. You make your way up through a prison to escape, making friends and enemies along the way with gameplay features such as friendship levels and branching storylines.

Purgatorio was created for a school subject called game uiux
For the subject, a documentation of the game was created. It contains idea inspirations of the game, concept art and additional notes regarding game mechanics and story plot points that were not able to be shown in the demo.

- a walk in the park -

A Walk In The Park is a collaborative group project made in Unity with my classmates for a subject called Game Development Project. It aims to educate potential and current pet owners on responsible pet ownership by simulating a walk in the park with your dog.

In this game, I helped to code the well-being and reputation bar, the dehydrated dog scene as well as draw some of the assets for the game.

- Zha -

Zha is a Unity game made to digitally replicate the childhood game of the same name. The game is able to be played both in singleplayer mode and multiplayer mode.This game was made for a subject called Guided Learning.
Guided Learning is a subject in which students are introduced to the concept and process of self-directed learning in their chosen area of study.
For more information about "Zha" and my process of transforming it into a digital game, I have a separate portfolio just for it.

- Escape The Facility -

“Kill to stay alive.” As a blood fueled monster, slash and tear your way through the researchers and staff of the facility that captured you; Absorbing their blood on the way to maintain your form.A fast-paced game where the player is constantly in a race with time, killing enemies will help to increase the timer by recovering health. As the player progresses, more armed and dangerous enemies will appear as they try their best to suppress the monster.


Escape The Facility is an action beat ‘em up game made in Unity where the player controls a monster made out of blood trying to escape its confinement by travelling up the floors of the laboratory, killing the workers in the process to absorb their blood to stay alive.
